Dr. Tong Man Kit joined the Eye Hospital immediately after graduation and subsequently worked at United Christian Hospital for over a decade. During his tenure, Dr. Tong not only provided comprehensive ophthalmic clinical services to patients but also served as an Associate Consultant at United Christian Hospital.

Dr. Tong is a Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Physicians and holds the title of Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr. Tang pursued advanced training at Harvard University-affiliated hospitals in the United States and the London Laser Vision Center, collaborating with local ophthalmology specialists on research concerning cataract and laser vision correction .

In the academic sphere, Dr. Tong is deeply devoted to scholarly research, having published over twenty conference papers and medical articles. Additionally, Dr. Tong has been invited to attend various international ophthalmology conferences, such as the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting held in Thailand.

Dr. Tong is also an Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a former Visiting Assistant Professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Department of Optometry).

Despite his busy daily workload, Dr. Tang remains committed to giving back to society through his professional expertise.

In his spare time, Dr. Tong enthusiastically participates in community volunteer work. He has traveled to Cambodia to provide treatment for local patients and offer professional guidance on ophthalmic surgery to local doctors. Additionally, he has been involved in The Chinese University of Hong Kong Jockey Club Eye Care Program and collaborated with the Lions Club to provide free eye examinations and eye health information to residents in various districts. In recent years, Dr. Tong has actively shared eye care information with the public through platforms such as the " Healthy Dawn " YouTube channel and television programs.
